Brooklyn Block Party

Project

The annual Clinton Hill Block Party brings together the neighborhood with music and food.

Challenge

To raise money for their annual September block party which attracts hundreds people in the neighborhood.

Solution

• Kickstarter campaign
• Designed commemorative hand letter-pressed postcard (4"x6"). Printed on a Vandercook proof press at The Arm Letterpress.
• Flyers that were posted throughout the neighborhood and at local cafes and establishments.
• Thank you posters posted at Block Party with a list of Kickstarter backers.

Results

• Successfully raised $1,740 USD with 65 backers.
• A full write-up in the New York Daily News.
• A shout-out in the New York Times, The Local — Fort Greene.
